I love the verse from Acts 16:9 “and a certain man named Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, set his heart on going to Macedonia, and before he began to go about preaching Jesus in turn he was under the influence of a demon.” One can easily see how this verse is a great insight in to the mind of the meddlers in the church. They love being selfless and generous but they are stuck up in their own selfishness. It’s a great insight into how these people think in a very negative light by saying, “I want to go from A to B because I’m selfless and I want to help you C.” They have no love for people or God because they covet their own mediocrity. These people are always trying to get into your good graces by only wanting you to do things for them.
